Alsace is France's most Germanic wine region, tucked between the Vosges mountains and the Rhine. Its wines look German — tall, slender bottles, aromatic varieties — but taste unmistakably French: dry, food-friendly, and deeply terroir-driven. Protected by the Vosges, it is one of the driest regions in France, producing wines of extraordinary aromatic intensity and longevity.

A narrow strip of land running north-south along the eastern slopes of the Vosges mountains. The foothills provide shelter from Atlantic rain, creating a warm, dry microclimate ideal for aromatic varieties.

CLIMATE

Grand Cru Riesling: 10–30 years. Gewurztraminer Vendanges Tardives: 15–25 years. Pinot Gris: 8–15 years.
